    About This Vessel

    M/V Tatawa is DiveKomodo's 21-metre liveaboard for small-group expeditions in Komodo National Park. The current operator page lists five well-ventilated fan-cooled cabins for up to eight guests, shared bathroom facilities, a dedicated dive deck and an upper sun deck.

    Cabins and bathrooms

    Two Double Cabins have queen beds and ocean-view windows. One Twin Cabin has two separate single beds. Two Single Cabins are arranged for solo travellers. All cabins are on the lower level, are fan-cooled and use shared bathroom facilities. No cabin is ensuite.

    Shared spaces

    The air-conditioned indoor dining lounge includes dining tables and shared social space. Guests can relax on a covered foredeck or the open-air upper sun deck with panoramic seating and loungers. Freshwater showers are available in the shared bathrooms.

    Diving and activities

    Tatawa has a dedicated dive deck with individual gear stations, compressor support and tender access to Komodo dive sites. The operator lists a Bauer Mariner compressor, freshwater supply and professional dive guides. The expedition program includes diving, snorkeling, trekking and island hopping, with exact sites and landings subject to weather, safety and park operations.

    Cancellation and booking terms

    DiveKomodo's August 2026 terms state that liveaboard deposits are non-refundable, with a three-day cooling-off period for deposits unless booked within 14 days of departure. Tiered notice scales apply afterwards, up to 100 percent forfeiture for short-notice cancellations. Specific invoice and third-party terms control.

    Safety

    The operator lists a life raft, 20 life jackets, emergency oxygen, first-aid kits, GPS and marine chart plotter, VHF radio, four fire extinguishers, certified crew and an experienced captain. Liveaboard guests are required to carry comprehensive travel and dive insurance covering emergency evacuation and hyperbaric treatment.

      • The final SiOra total can include entrance, activity, vessel and special-use charges. Ask the handling operator for an itemised total before issuance.
      • Official public guidance does not state one universal refund or rescheduling rule for every reservation. Confirm the current SiOra terms in writing before the ticket is issued, including treatment of weather disruption.

      Statutory fees under Peraturan Pemerintah No. 36 Tahun 2024, in force since 30 October 2024. Verified 31 August 2026 against the official PP 36/2024 schedule, the Ministry of Forestry SiOra notice and the Ministry’s 2026 quota notice.
