Adelaar is a historic Dutch schooner configured as a small-group luxury diving liveaboard. The operator publishes four guest cabins for eight adults, individually controlled air conditioning, ensuite hot-water bathrooms, a classical teak interior and cruises through Komodo and wider eastern Indonesia.
Built in Holland in 1902 as a sailing cargo vessel, Adelaar was restored as a yacht and later extensively rebuilt for Indonesian luxury diving. Published measurements are 127 ft length, 18 ft beam and 8 ft draft. A 380 HP Mercedes marine diesel gives a cruising speed of 6.5 to 7.5 knots, supported by 24-hour generators and a watermaker.
The four-cabin layout comprises one Master Suite, Staterooms 2 and 3, and Stateroom 4. The Master Suite accommodates two adults and one child, with a 207 × 160 cm double bed and a sofa that converts for twin sharing. Staterooms 2 and 3 each accommodate two adults, with a 200 × 140 cm double bed and convertible sofa. Stateroom 4 accommodates two adults in a 200 × 140 cm double bed and does not offer twin sharing.
Every stateroom has individually controlled air conditioning, an entertainment system and an ensuite bathroom with hot-water shower, washbasin and vacuum toilet.
Dive equipment includes three Bauer Capitano compressors, aluminium tanks with convertible DIN/INT valves, a Nitrox membrane system, lamps, spare gear and two aluminium tenders. Published safety and navigation equipment includes life rafts, life jackets, EPIRB, flares, medical oxygen, first aid, GPS, radar, AIS, satellite compass and depth sounder.
Non-diving activities can include snorkeling, land exploration, sea kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, wakeboarding and water skiing when conditions permit. The vessel also provides a salon, air-conditioned dining room, outdoor dining and deck relaxation space. Starlink internet includes up to 1 GB per passenger per cruise.
Published Komodo programs include 6-night Labuan Bajo round trips, 7-night Bali–Komodo crossings and 10-night Bali–Komodo–Bali voyages. Longer routes may combine Komodo with Sumbawa and whale-shark encounters. Named dive sites include Manta Alley, Castle Rock, Batu Bolong, The Cauldron, Tatawa Besar and Tatawa Kecil. Actual itineraries remain subject to weather and sea conditions.
Staterooms 2 and 3 and the Master Suite are priced higher.
Published inclusions cover accommodation, crew, meals, non-alcoholic drinks, itinerary diving, a standard tank and weights, listed land excursions, nearby airport transfers, toiletries, towels, paddleboards, wakeboard and the stated Starlink allowance. Flights, visas, park and port fees, fuel surcharges, rental equipment, Nitrox, insurance, laundry, satellite-phone use and gratuities are excluded or separately charged.
