Sands Bajo operates short Komodo circuits from Labuan Bajo. Shared 3D2N departures combine Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong with Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point before a final reef stop. Private charters extend the same operating area from 2D1N to longer voyages with more flexible timing.
Sands Bajo suits six couples, families or friend groups that prefer one straightforward double-cabin layout rather than mixed bunk rooms. The Master and two Deluxe cabins provide the strongest views, while the lower-deck Superior cabins trade view quality for lower shared-trip pricing.
Sands Bajo is a 23-metre Komodo phinisi with six private ensuite cabins and a maximum of 12 overnight guests. The vessel was renovated in 2023 and is published at 83 GT with a 4.8-metre beam, Hyundai 6D22 main engine, multiple generators and a cruising speed around 6 knots. One Yamaha 50 HP tender handles shore transfers and snorkeling stops.
The six-cabin layout is split across three decks. One Master Cabin sits on the upper deck with a queen bed and sea view. Two Deluxe Cabins sit on the main deck with queen beds and sea views. The lower deck carries three Superior rooms: Superior 3 plus Superior 1 and 2, all with queen beds, private bathrooms and air conditioning. Every guest cabin sleeps two, giving the boat a straightforward twelve-person capacity without relying on dense bunk arrangements.
Navigation and communications include GPS, AIS, compass, mapping, SSB and VHF radio. Published safety equipment includes a life raft rated for 25 people, lifebuoys, fire extinguishers and flare signalling. Leisure equipment centres on snorkeling and paddleboarding rather than a dedicated dive setup.
Sands Bajo is sold as both a private charter and on scheduled 3D2N shared departures. The Komodo route combines Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong with Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar, Manta Point and a final snorkeling stop before returning to Labuan Bajo.
