Komodo

Komodo out of Labuan Bajo is the core programme, on trips of one to three nights with daily departures. Sample routing works west first to Sebayur Besar and Sebayur Kecil for snorkelling and beach time, then a full day at Gili Banta with the crew's signature beach set-up, before the park proper: Padar, Pink Beach, the ranger trek for the dragons, Manta Point, and Taka Makassar. The crew are repeatedly credited by guests with timing arrivals so the popular spots are quiet.

Sumbawa

Sumbawa is the western extension of the Labuan Bajo departures and the most natural fit for the longer bookings on this boat. The crater lake at Satonda, the slopes off Sangeang and the bays of Moyo are the stops. This is cruising rather than diving, which matches a vessel built around a film and karaoke deck instead of a dive deck.

Who This Suits

Suits: groups and families who want Komodo comfortably rather than divers chasing tanks. A crew of fourteen for fourteen guests, a chef, a large sundeck, a karaoke and film area and a sound system on the aft deck make this a social boat. The onboard drone, GoPro and DSLR, used by the crew, are a genuine differentiator at this price.

Also worth knowing: the safety fit-out is unusually thorough for a 27-metre boat, with two twenty-five person life rafts, fifty life jackets, EPIRB, SART and radar.

Less suited to: serious divers. She offers discovery diving rather than a certified dive operation, and carries no compressor or nitrox. Anyone wanting a full dive programme should look at Calico Jack or the Sea Safari boats instead.

About This Vessel

Le Costa is a 27.8-metre classic wooden yacht designed in 2021 by an Indonesian naval architect. Originally conceived as a cargo boat for copra transport in Sumatra, the wide 8.45-metre hull was completed as a private and shared-trip yacht instead.

Six ensuite cabins accommodate up to fourteen guests: one Santorini master cabin with a super-king bed and private jacuzzi, one Portofino family cabin with two queen beds, and four double cabins named Marbella, Capri, Ibiza and Monaco. Every cabin has air conditioning, a private bathroom and hot water.

Le Costa focuses on leisure cruising, snorkeling, paddleboarding and discovery diving rather than operating as a dedicated dive liveaboard. Guest areas include a large sun deck, outdoor and indoor dining, a bar, karaoke and film-night equipment. A fourteen-member crew supports up to fourteen guests.

The official charter rate starts at $7,000 for 2 days and 1 night. Shared departures operate as a 4-day/3-night Komodo itinerary: IDR 37,000,000 for the Santorini cabin, IDR 32,000,000 for each two-guest double cabin, and IDR 34,000,000 for the four-guest Portofino cabin. Park fees, flights, travel insurance, alcohol and crew gratuities are excluded.

Le Costa is quoted by the operator in rupiah. Whole-vessel charter runs IDR 100,000,000 for two days and one night, IDR 160,000,000 for three days and two nights, and IDR 220,000,000 for four days and three nights. At 17,900 rupiah to the dollar, the rate on 13 August 2026, that is roughly USD 5,587, USD 8,939 and USD 12,291 respectively. The figure shown here is the shortest charter. Additional guests beyond the package base are IDR 1,000,000 per person on the one-night trip, rising to 2,000,000 and 3,000,000 on the longer ones, and minimum booking is two people. She is also sold on open trips through agents at around IDR 23,000,000 per cabin for three days and two nights, roughly USD 1,285.
Dollar figures are converted for comparison only. The operator bills in rupiah, so the actual dollar cost moves with the exchange rate on the day of payment.
Included: full accommodation in air-conditioned ensuite cabins, gourmet meals and snacks prepared by the onboard chef, free-flow coffee, tea, water and soft drinks, snorkelling gear and kayaks, all excursions per the itinerary, and transfers between the airport or hotel and the boat within the Labuan Bajo mainland area near the harbour.
Not included: Komodo National Park entry fees, which change with government regulation and are paid separately, along with the drone permit if you are flying one, alcoholic drinks, flights and crew gratuities. Pick-up is not covered from accommodation on other islands.
Two price tables are in circulation, and they do not match. The operator's own site quotes private charter at IDR 100,000,000 for two days and one night, 160,000,000 for three days and two nights, and 220,000,000 for four days and three nights. Komodo Luxury, which also sells her, publishes a higher and longer table: IDR 110,000,000 for 2D1N, 170,000,000 for 3D2N, 230,000,000 for 4D3N, 290,000,000 for 5D4N, 350,000,000 for 6D5N and 410,000,000 for 7D6N, with additional guests from IDR 2,000,000 to 7,000,000 depending on duration. The same agent also quotes the charter as from USD 6,800 per night. Confirm which applies to your dates before quoting.
Shared departures are sold per cabin per person: Santorini IDR 28 million, Portofino 25 million, and Marbella, Capri, Ibiza and Monaco 23 million each. Open trips run 3D2N on a fixed weekly schedule through 2026, departing most Fridays.

SiOra is the park’s e-ticketing and SIMAKSI system. Reserve before travel; Ministry guidance recommends completing the reservation by H-1. An operator can assist, and self-service is available at the Komodo Visitor Center and KP3 terminal.
Payment is cashless through the methods available in SiOra, including BRIVA or bank transfer and supported e-wallets. Keep the e-ticket and ensure the traveller details are correct.
A 1,000-visitor daily quota has applied since 1 April 2026 to the main visitor islands and 23 dive sites. Availability therefore depends on the travel date and registered itinerary.
The final SiOra total can include entrance, activity, vessel and special-use charges. Ask the handling operator for an itemised total before issuance.
Official public guidance does not state one universal refund or rescheduling rule for every reservation. Confirm the current SiOra terms in writing before the ticket is issued, including treatment of weather disruption.

Statutory fees under Peraturan Pemerintah No. 36 Tahun 2024, in force since 30 October 2024. Verified 31 August 2026 against the official PP 36/2024 schedule, the Ministry of Forestry SiOra notice and the Ministry’s 2026 quota notice.
