Jaya

Jaya is a 23-metre expedition liveaboard built in 1999 in the style of a traditional Bugis phinisi. The vessel carries up to 14 guests in seven air-conditioned lower-deck cabins: three Double Cabins with private ensuite bathrooms and four Twin Cabins that share two freshwater-shower bathrooms. All cabins have power sockets, towels, shampoo and soap.

The current operator schedules Jaya in Raja Ampat and on long-range expeditions. The 2026–2027 program includes 7-day Dampier Strait trips, 9-day Dampier and Misool itineraries, and selected Banda Sea and Ambon crossings. Diving groups are normally capped at four guests per guide, with approximately 19 dives on the 7-day route and 22 on the 9-day route. The boat provides free WiFi, shaded upper-deck dining and lounge space, sun-deck beanbags, camera rinse containers and a dedicated dive deck.

The next available shared departure verified on 31 August 2026 is the 8–14 September Best of Dampier trip at USD 1,960 per person. Mandatory Raja Ampat charges for a foreign visitor add approximately USD 245: USD 45 annual marine park fee, USD 70 entrance fee, IDR 500,000 local dive contribution converted to USD 30, and USD 100 harbour fee. The required starting total is therefore USD 2,205 per person.

Rates include three meals daily, fruit and snacks, drinking water, tea, coffee, towels, linen, a dive guide, tanks, weights and selected Waisai-to-basecamp transfers. Dive and travel insurance are mandatory. Equipment rental, dive computers, 15-litre tanks, beer, soft drinks, private guides, courses, gratuities, ferries and personal expenses cost extra.
