Mikumba Dua’s Komodo program is strongly dive-led but also includes trekking, snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding. Published routes name sites including Batu Bolong, Golden Passage, Castle Rock and Mawan, alongside Padar and Komodo wildlife excursions.
Raja Ampat is Mikumba Dua’s second core operating region. Small-group departures combine reef diving with island scenery and a relaxed onboard rhythm, using the same ten-guest format that defines its Komodo season.
Mikumba Dua suits experienced divers, snorkelers and small private groups who want a low guest count and a relaxed boutique atmosphere. The operator limits capacity to ten guests despite six cabins, and requires at least Open Water or Advanced Open Water certification with a minimum of 30 logged dives for the standard dive program.
Mikumba Dua is a traditional South Sulawesi phinisi operated as a small-group dive liveaboard in Komodo and Raja Ampat. The operator describes two upper-deck ensuite master cabins with private balconies plus three guest double/twin cabins below deck, while keeping total guest capacity to ten for a low-density onboard experience.
The saloon functions as an indoor dining room, lounge, bar and cinema, while four levels of deck space provide alfresco dining, open-air cinema, yoga and sunset areas. The vessel is repeatedly renovated while retaining handcrafted teak, rattan ceilings and Indonesian textiles.
Mikumba Dua is aimed at divers who want a more intimate vessel than the large 16–20 guest liveaboards. Two master cabins offer the highest privacy; published third-party inventory describes some lower-deck cabins with shared bathrooms, so the listing does not claim every cabin is ensuite.
Fourth lower-deck double cabin aboard Mikumba Dua, with air conditioning and fan ventilation. Bathroom arrangement should be confirmed for the selected cabin before booking.
Upper-deck master cabin with queen bed, private ensuite bathroom and individually controlled air-conditioning.
The operator includes onboard accommodation, meals, soft drinks, bed linen, towels, dive support, snorkeling, kayaks and paddleboards on scheduled trips. Komodo National Park fees, equipment rental, alcohol, crew gratuity and any published fuel surcharge are separate. Wi-Fi is not available onboard; the operator recommends using a local Telkomsel SIM where signal exists.
Availability and quotes for Mikumba Dua are handled by the operator directly. KomodoInsider does not take bookings or add a commission.
