Papiton Lopi sails a classic three-day Komodo circuit from Labuan Bajo, combining snorkeling at Manta Point, Taka Makassar, Manjarite and a final reef stop with trekking on Padar and Komodo Island, Pink Beach and a sunset anchorage near Kalong. The operator also offers the vessel privately, allowing more flexibility in sequencing while staying within the same Komodo operating area.
Lopi works particularly well for mixed-budget groups. Hindia, Arafuru and Natuna provide private double rooms with sea views, while Pacific gives solo travellers and budget-conscious guests access to the same vessel through shared bunk inventory. The open deck layout is social and leisure-focused rather than dive-specialist.
Papiton Lopi is Papiton’s first custom-built vessel, launched in South Celebes in 2019. The operator technical sheet lists a 26.6-metre hull, 4.36-metre beam, five-person crew and up to 12 adults overnight, while the current shared-trip cabin inventory totals 11 sellable berths. This listing uses 11 as the booking capacity. A Mitsubishi 6D15 main engine drives the vessel at an average cruising speed of 7 to 8 knots, with one Yamaha 40 HP tender for transfers and shore activities.
The accommodation is divided into four physical cabins. Hindia is the upper-deck premium room, sleeping two guests plus one extra bed with a queen bed, sea view and private bathroom. Arafuru and Natuna are main-deck queen rooms for two guests each with sea views and private bathrooms. Pacific is the shared cabin, using bunk-style single berths for up to four guests. Current room-level sales information lists private bathrooms for Hindia, Arafuru and Natuna, while Pacific is sold with shared-bathroom access. The broader operator technical sheet describes a private bathroom for the bunk room, so the structured field is conservatively set to “Some cabins”.
Lopi is built around leisure cruising rather than technical diving. Its published common areas include a sun deck, rooftop deck, dining area and the signature Papiton bowsprit net. Navigation and communications include Garmin GPS and marine VHF radio, while safety equipment includes life rafts, life vests, ring buoys, fire extinguishers and first-aid equipment.
The vessel operates both scheduled 3D2N shared trips and private charters around Komodo National Park. Shared departures run Monday to Wednesday and Thursday to Saturday. The standard route combines Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Manta Point, Taka Makassar, Siaba or Sebayur, Manjarite, Kelor and Kalong, with sequencing adjusted for conditions.

Shared-trip packages include Labuan Bajo pickup and drop-off, cabin accommodation, meals, snacks and juices, unlimited drinking water, coffee and tea, snorkeling equipment, towels, a guide and trip documentation. Flights, park entrance charges, alcoholic drinks and crew gratuities are excluded. Private-charter inclusions differ slightly and should be confirmed for the selected dates.
