Papiton Duwa runs a three-day Komodo loop that combines snorkeling at Siaba, Taka Makassar, Manta Point and Manjarite with Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Kalong and Kelor. The operator deliberately adjusts timing to reduce crowd exposure on the shared schedule. Private charters use the same Komodo operating area with more flexibility around sequence and overnight anchorages.
Papiton Duwa is a strong fit for couples, friends and small groups who want sea-view cabins and a highly social open-deck layout. Manta is the standout room for travellers who value a private balcony, while the other four cabins still retain private bathrooms and ocean views. The boat is leisure-first rather than a specialist diving platform.
Papiton Duwa is a 27.2-metre custom phinisi built in South Celebes in 2019. Five air-conditioned sea-view cabins accommodate up to 12 adults on overnight voyages, supported by a crew of five. The vessel is designed around open social spaces, a large sundeck, rooftop deck, dining area and its signature net bowsprit.
The five-cabin layout is straightforward. Manta Room is the premium upper-deck queen cabin with a private balcony. Coral Room is also on the upper deck, while Turtle, Dolphin and Flounder are main-deck queen cabins. All five have private bathrooms, hot showers, air conditioning and sea views; Manta and Coral support the published extra-bed arrangement.
Published technical information includes a Mitsubishi 6D15 main engine, 7–8 knot average cruising speed, Garmin GPS, marine VHF radio and one Yamaha 40 HP tender. Safety equipment includes life rafts, life vests, ring buoys, fire extinguishers and first-aid equipment. Snorkeling and paddleboarding are the main water activities rather than a dedicated scuba setup.
Papiton Duwa is sold both by cabin on scheduled 3D2N departures and as a whole-vessel private charter. Shared departures run on Monday–Wednesday and Thursday–Saturday patterns, while private itineraries can be tailored around Komodo National Park. Manta Point and Taka Makassar are explicitly included in published routes.
