    About This Operator

Pacific High designs, builds and manages its own Indonesian phinisi fleet from a shipyard in Bira, South Sulawesi. The company was formed in 2018 after Nataraja, launched in 2015, became the starting point for a larger charter operation. This integrated model is the main distinction: vessel construction, management and guest delivery sit inside one operating group rather than a chain of unrelated brokers.

Four boats are currently compared in KomodoInsider. Senja is the smallest by capacity, with two cabins for four guests and a full-width main-deck master. Sanya is the largest hull at 36 metres but carries only five guests across two cabins. Dewata sits between them with three cabins for six, including two equal main-deck masters. Nataraja is the highest-capacity option, carrying eight guests in three convertible cabins and offering the fleet's clearest family configuration.

All four are private charter only and reposition seasonally between Komodo and Raja Ampat, with additional eastern Indonesian routes varying by vessel and date. The choice is therefore driven more by group size and cabin layout than service tier. One ownership detail remains relevant: Sanya was delivered to a separate investor and is managed by Pacific High, while the other compared hulls sit within the operator's own build history.

    Who Should Book

Pacific High suits travellers who want a whole boat to themselves and care about who actually built and runs it. There is no shared-cabin option anywhere in the fleet, so a solo traveller or a couple unwilling to pay for the full vessel is not the audience.

Families are better served than the fleet size suggests: Nataraja is the only hull here that converts every cabin and takes two child beds, which is unusual on an eight-guest phinisi. Couples wanting maximum privacy should look at Senja or Sanya, both of which carry four or five guests on 31 and 36 metres respectively.

    How Booking Works

Enquiries go directly to Pacific High through their own website or charter team, which is based in Bali. Because the company owns and manages the vessels rather than reselling them, the quote, the itinerary and the onboard delivery all come from the same organisation.

Itineraries are built around the season: Komodo departures leave from Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat departures from Sorong. Confirm which basin your dates fall in before committing to flights, since the repositioning is a fleet-wide move, not a per-vessel choice.

    Payment Terms

Deposit schedule, cancellation terms and what is included in the nightly rate are quoted per charter and are not published as a fixed table. Request them in writing at the quote stage. Nitrox is included in the rate on Dewata; confirm dive inclusions individually for the other three hulls rather than assuming they match.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Senja, Dewata, Nataraja and Sanya?

Guest capacity and cabin layout, not service tier. Nataraja carries eight and is the only one with child beds. Dewata carries six across three cabins, with two equal main-deck masters sharing a terrace. Sanya carries five on the largest hull in the fleet at 36 metres. Senja carries four and gives the master the full width of the main deck. All four are crewed and run to the same standard.

Does Pacific High offer shared cabins or open trips?

No. Every vessel in the fleet is private charter only. The whole boat is booked as a unit, which is why the per-person rate falls as your group grows.

Does Pacific High own its yachts, or is it a broker?

It owns and manages three of the four Komodo hulls and built all of them at its own shipyard in Bira, South Sulawesi. Sanya is the exception: she was delivered in August 2025 to a separate investor, Alur Biru Pariwisata, and is chartered and managed by Pacific High rather than owned by it.

Where do Pacific High charters depart from?

Labuan Bajo for the Komodo season and Sorong for Raja Ampat. The fleet repositions seasonally between the two basins, so the departure port depends on your dates rather than on which vessel you choose.

Which Pacific High yacht is best for a family with children?

Nataraja. Every cabin converts and two of them take a child bed, which is rare on a phinisi carrying eight guests. Dewata is the next option for a larger family group, with two equal masters opening onto a shared terrace.

Which is the newest vessel in the fleet?

Sanya, launched in August 2025 after sixteen months of construction in Bira. At 36 metres she is the largest hull currently chartering, though she carries only five guests.

Can Pacific High yachts sail outside Komodo?

Yes. All four cross-season into Raja Ampat, and the fleet also reaches the Banda Sea, Alor, Ambon and Halmahera. Nataraja additionally lists Sumbawa.
