Seasonal scheduled cruises from Labuan Bajo and nearby ports combine northern and southern Komodo, eastern Flores and Sumbawa. Published trip length and park/port fee vary by departure.

Raja Ampat, Banda & Eastern Indonesia

The wider rotation covers Raja Ampat, Alor, Banda Sea, Forgotten Islands, Triton Bay, Halmahera and repositioning passages. The current public schedule lists each departure as a full-trip per-person fare.

Who This Suits

Suits: divers who want a serious dive boat without booking the whole vessel. Fifteen dive stations, four divers per guide, a camera room and a dedicated dive tender put her in charter territory, but cabins are sold individually from USD 605 per person per night. Underwater photographers are especially well served: a ten-metre camera bench with shelving, multiple charging stations, a workstation for data transfer and a screen for playback, all built in rather than improvised.

Also works for: families and mixed groups. Two cabins take a third single bed, children of ten and over are welcome on scheduled departures, and non-divers get a dinghy of their own for snorkelling plus kayaks, paddle boards and island time.

Less suited to: anyone wanting a short leisure cruise. The programme is built around four dives a day and scheduled trips run seven to thirteen nights, so short Komodo escapes are only possible on private charter. Non-divers should also note the Banda Sea legs, the one region where the operator says plainly that non-diving guests get less out of the trip.

About This Vessel

Tiaré is a purpose-built Indonesian dive phinisi with 36.5 metres of deck length, 45.62 metres overall, a 9-metre beam and GT 285 displacement. Built from 2013 to 2016 and sailing since 2017, she carries up to 14 guests in six ensuite teak cabins supported by 17 crew. The 500 hp Yanmar engine gives a cruising speed of up to 10 knots.

The cabin plan is two Double Cabins for two guests each, two Twin Cabins for two guests each, and two Triple Cabins for up to three guests each. Every cabin is approximately 15 square metres, air-conditioned and ensuite, with storage, hot-water shower, toiletries and a hairdryer. The Triple Cabins combine a double bed with an additional single bed; they are the two rooms that raise maximum capacity from 12 to 14.

Tiaré is configured around diving. The aft dive deck has personal equipment stations, 12- and 15-litre aluminium cylinders, adaptable DIN/INT valves and hot showers. Two six-metre dive tenders and a separate dinghy serve diving and snorkelling groups. Each diver receives an ENOS locator beacon, while photographers have a dedicated camera room and charging bench. Scheduled itineraries include up to four dives per day, subject to itinerary and conditions.

The lowest remaining publicly bookable 2026 departure verified on 30 August 2026 is a seven-night Raja Ampat cruise at USD 4,480 per person plus USD 330 in mandatory park and port fees, making the displayed starting price USD 4,810 per person for the full trip. This is not a nightly fare. Whole-boat charter dates are flexible, but the operator does not publish a current charter rate; charter pricing is therefore on request.

The scheduled fare includes full-board meals and snacks, water, soft drinks, juice, Balinese coffee and tea, diving with tanks and weights, Wi-Fi where signal permits, laundry, non-motorised water sports, and designated transfers on embarkation and disembarkation days. National park and port fees are paid separately by itinerary, while Nitrox, alcohol and espresso, equipment rental, dive courses, massage, gratuities, flights, hotels and any applicable fuel surcharge are extra.

Tiaré rotates through Komodo and eastern Flores, Raja Ampat, Alor, the Banda Sea and other eastern Indonesian regions. Individual reservations require a 25% deposit within seven days and the balance 90 days before departure. Cancellations received at least 91 days before departure refund the deposit less a 10% administration charge; at 90 days or less, no refund is given.

Booking runs through SIORA, the park's own system, and is handled by a licensed operator before arrival. There is no ticket window at the gate.
A daily cap of 1,000 visitors applies across the park, split between Komodo, Rinca and Padar and the dive sites around them.
Entry runs in sessions rather than all day, which is why a boat's arrival time is set by the park and not by the crew.
A drone permit is separate, expensive, and has to be requested well in advance.

How many guests does Tiare take?

Twelve guests in six cabins is the standard configuration. Two of the six cabins can take a third single bed, which brings the maximum to fourteen; the third person pays USD 360 to 400 per night. Crew numbers seventeen.

Is Tiare sold by the cabin or as a whole-boat charter?

Both, but the scheduled cruises are sold per person by the cabin, which is unusual for a boat of this standard. Whole-boat charter is available on request and follows a separate deposit and cancellation schedule.

What does the fare include?

Full board with two snacks a day, soft drinks, juice, coffee and tea, up to four dives a day with tanks and weights, laundry, Wi-Fi over the local mobile network, water sports, and airport and hotel transfers on embarkation and disembarkation days.

What is not included?

National park and port clearance fees of USD 225 to 350 per person depending on region, nitrox at USD 15 per diving day, alcohol and espresso, dive gear rental, courses, massages, crew gratuities and any fuel surcharge.

How is the diving organised?

A maximum of four divers per guide, with three to four guides on each trip and groups split by experience. Air or Nitrox 32, INT/DIN adaptable valves, 12 and 15 litre tanks plus 7 litre options, fifteen dive stations aft and two hot showers. Every diver carries an ENOS beacon linked to a receiving station on the dive tender.

Will non-divers enjoy the trip?

Yes, on every itinerary except the Banda Sea. Snorkelling, beach and island visits, kayaking, paddle boarding and beach barbecues run alongside the diving, and a 4.5-metre dinghy is reserved for snorkellers.

Where does she sail through the year?

Komodo and eastern Flores mid-year from Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat from Sorong across the northern winter, and crossings taking in Alor, the Banda Sea, the Forgotten Islands, Triton Bay and Halmahera. June is dry dock.

What is the cancellation policy?

For individual bookings, cancelling 91 days or more before departure refunds the deposit less a 10 per cent administration fee. At 90 days or less there is no refund. Evacuation insurance is compulsory for divers and DAN cover is recommended.
