    Komodo is the dry-season programme out of Labuan Bajo, roughly May to September. On a boat carrying four guests the itinerary is genuinely flexible: anchorages are chosen around what the party wants rather than a fixed rotation, and the standard points — Padar, Pink Beach, Manta Point, the Rinca ranger trek, Kalong at dusk for the flying foxes — can be timed to avoid the day-boat traffic entirely.

    Raja Ampat

    Raja Ampat runs the opposite half of the year out of Sorong, roughly November to April. Distances between anchorages are longer and the schedule follows tide and light. With only two cabins the boat can sit at a site for as long as the guests want, which suits photographers and honeymooners more than groups working through a dive list.

    Who This Suits

    Suits: couples, honeymooners and anyone whose priority is privacy over space to spread out. Eleven crew for two guests is an unusual ratio, and the master cabin with its own terrace and swim platform means a couple can spend a whole charter without sharing deck space with anyone.

    Less suited to: groups. Four is the hard ceiling and the second cabin is on the lower deck, so a party of four is not sharing equally. Divers wanting volume are better served by a larger boat, though the compressor and nitrox blender are on board.

    About This Vessel

    Senja is a 31-metre phinisi launched in 2021 and built, like the rest of the Pacific High fleet, at the company's yard in Bira, South Sulawesi. She is the smallest-capacity boat in that fleet and deliberately so: a single 25-square-metre master cabin occupies most of the main deck, with one convertible guest cabin below for a second couple or children. Two to four guests, eleven crew including a cruise director.

    The master cabin is the argument for the boat. It runs the full width of the main deck, wraps around with windows for 360-degree views, and opens onto a private terrace with its own fridge, sunbed, dining table and bathing platform with an outdoor shower, so guests can get into the sea without crossing the rest of the yacht. The ensuite has a rainforest shower, robes and a hair dryer. The upper deck takes a sunbed and doubles as a yoga and outdoor cinema space.

    Mechanically she matches her sisters: ironwood and teak superstructure, 260 HP engine, 25 and 15 KVA generators, a 5,000 litre-a-day watermaker, seven knots average. Diving is well equipped for a boat this small, with a 325-litre compressor, a nitrox blender, scuba gear and a free-diving buoy and line, plus a 5.5-metre RIB with a 100 HP outboard. Onboard extras run to an espresso machine, ice maker, movie projector, photographer desk, yoga mats and a massage therapist.

    Twenty-five square metres running the width of the main deck, which on a 31-metre boat means this cabin is effectively the whole top floor. Windows wrap the room, so the view is continuous rather than framed by a porthole, and the king bed at 200 x 200 faces it. French doors lead out to a terrace belonging to the cabin alone: fridge, sunbed, table, and a bathing platform with an outdoor shower, so guests reach the water without walking through the boat. The bathroom has a rainforest shower, robes, a hair dryer and organic toiletries.

      2026 whole-yacht private charter: USD 6,200 per night including taxes. Komodo and surroundings from Labuan Bajo require a minimum of three nights, so the minimum Komodo charter is USD 18,600. The displayed starting price is the equivalent minimum-trip cost per guest at the yacht's four-guest capacity: USD 4,650. Christmas and New Year charters from 18 December through 4 January carry a 10% surcharge, making the rate USD 6,820 per night.

      Minimum durations vary by cruising ground. Raja Ampat North and Central from Sorong starts at five nights; South only at six; South and Central at nine; and a full North, South and Central itinerary at eleven. Raja Ampat charters covering Christmas or New Year require at least seven nights. Komodo with Sumbawa starts at ten nights, while Komodo, Sumbawa and Lombok starts at twelve; some one-way embarkations carry relocation charges.

      Included: marine park, harbour and community fees; full board with three gourmet meals daily plus snacks; soft drinks, juices, coffee and tea; towels, toiletries and amenities; snorkelling and shore excursions; excursion dives for certified divers with nitrox; scuba and snorkelling equipment; massages; Komodo airport fast-track; standard airport, hotel and yacht transfers; and Starlink internet.

      Not included: international or domestic flights and applicable airport taxes; mandatory dive insurance for divers; travel insurance; alcohol; discretionary crew gratuities; dive courses and certifications; special procurement outside the standard menus; and anything not named in the inclusions. One introductory dive per guest per charter is complimentary; additional introductory dives and certification courses are charged at the operator's published rates.

      For bookings made at least 60 days before departure, a 40% deposit is due within seven days of invoice and the balance is due 60 days before departure. Bookings made inside 60 days require full payment within seven days.
