    Komodo year round out of Labuan Bajo, with the itinerary published stop by stop rather than left vague. The two-night run covers Kelor, Menjerite Point and Kalong on day one, then Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island and Taka Makassar on day two. Three nights adds Manta Point and Sebayur. Four nights extends to Gili Lawa Darat, Siaba Besar and Mawan, which is the version that reaches the northern anchorages rather than looping the central park. Routes are adjustable on private charter.

    Who This Suits

    Suits: groups of ten to sixteen who want a clear internal hierarchy of rooms. Eight cabins across three decks in four price bands means a large party can self-allocate by budget, and the open-trip rates make that hierarchy explicit rather than something to negotiate.

    Also worth knowing: she is faster than most phinisi here at ten to twelve knots, which buys more time at anchor on a short itinerary, and wi-fi is inside the rate.

    Less suited to: divers. There is a dive platform but no compressor, nitrox or dive guide in the operator specification, and the boat is sold as a leisure charter. Note also the cancellation terms are among the strictest in this collection: nothing is refundable once paid.

    About This Vessel

    Lamain Voyage 2 is a 41.5-metre phinisi built in 2022 for Komodo cruises from Labuan Bajo. The vessel has eight ensuite cabins for 16 guests, arranged as two upper-deck cabins, two main-deck cabins and four lower-deck cabins.

    The Borobudur master cabin has a private balcony and jacuzzi. Eiffel is the second upper-deck cabin with a private balcony, while Big Ben and Liberty are main-deck cabins. Petra, Colosseum, Taj Mahal and Pyramid make up the four lower-deck cabins. All cabins have double beds, air conditioning and private bathrooms.

    Published specifications list a Yanmar 6HYM-WET 500 HP main engine, an average speed of 10–12 knots, a Yamaha 50 HP dinghy, 8,000 litres of water capacity and 13 crew including the cruise director. Safety and navigation equipment include life rafts, life jackets, fire extinguishers, first aid, SSB and VHF radios, radar, GPS, AIS and Navtex.

    Lamain Voyage 2 offers both open trips and private charters. The current 3D2N open-trip rate starts from IDR 11 million per person for a lower-deck cabin (about $615). Private charter starts from IDR 95 million (about $5,305) for a full-day trip.

      The operator prices in rupiah and bands by group size. Private charter runs IDR 118,000,000 for two days and one night with one to ten guests, or 126,000,000 for eleven to sixteen. Three days and two nights is 200,000,000 and 220,000,000. Four days and three nights is 286,000,000 and 315,000,000. A single day trip, 6am to 8pm, is 95,000,000 for up to sixteen guests with additional guests at 5,000,000 each.

      At 17,900 rupiah to the dollar on 13 August 2026 the shortest charter is about USD 6,592, the three-night about USD 11,173 and the four-day about USD 15,978. Dollar figures are converted for comparison; billing is in rupiah.

      Cabins also sell individually on open trips: Borobudur IDR 17,500,000, Eiffel 16,000,000, Big Ben and Liberty 15,000,000 each, and Petra, Colosseum, Taj Mahal and Pyramid 11,000,000 each.

      Included: the boat, crew and all onboard facilities, meals and snacks, soft drinks, fresh juices, coffee and tea, land and sea excursions, kayaks and paddleboards, snorkelling equipment, harbour transfers, a local licensed guide, and wi-fi on board.

      Not included: flights and visas, travel and medical insurance, photo and video documentation, alcoholic drinks, national park entrance fees, accommodation before or after the trip, personal expenses and crew gratuities. A corkage fee applies to guests bringing their own wine or spirits.

      Payment is a 30 per cent deposit to hold the date with the balance due 14 days before departure, and reservations cancel automatically if that deadline passes. All payments are non-refundable once made. Cancellation charges run 50 per cent at 90 to 61 days out, 75 per cent at 60 to 31 days, and 100 per cent inside 30 days. Children aged seven and above are charged as adults. If the harbourmaster or BMKG issues a weather warning the trip is rescheduled within a year rather than refunded.

Lamain I names its cabins after cities, Lamain II after monuments. Both work Komodo year round from Labuan Bajo and both sell by the cabin and as whole-boat charter.

    Which cabin has the jacuzzi?
