    The only ground she works, on a fixed 3D2N loop out of Labuan Bajo departing Monday and Friday. Pickup is late morning, around ten to eleven, later than most boats on the same route, so day one starts with lunch on board before Kelor for the trek and Manjarite for snorkelling, finishing at Kalong for the flying foxes. Day two is the full park: Padar at sunrise, then Pink Beach, the dragons on Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Day three is a last snorkel at Kanawa before returning to port around midday.

    Who This Suits

    Suits: solo travellers and mixed-size groups. The Quad Deluxe Sharing cabin puts four single beds in one ensuite room, so a berth can be bought without a cabin supplement, and four of the remaining five cabins take a third and fourth guest on extra beds. Very few boats at this level are that flexible on occupancy.

    Also works for: travellers who want a new boat. She was completed in 2026, carries Starlink rather than patchy local 4G, and the lounge is fitted out for downtime with a projector, karaoke, board games and a coffee maker.

    Less suited to: divers, and anyone who wants their specifications verified. There is no dive centre, compressor or dive guide on board. The operator also publishes no cruising speed, crew count, tankage or safety-equipment detail beyond a general list, and there are no guest reviews yet to fill the gap.

    About This Vessel

    KAI Voyage is a 33-metre phinisi completed in 2026, which makes her one of the newest hulls working Komodo National Park. Six cabins, fourteen to eighteen guests, and a cabin plan that is more flexible than most boats her size.

    Every cabin except one takes more than two people. The Signature Stateroom on the upper deck has a 180 by 200 cm king bed, a balcony and room for two extra singles. Suite 1 and Suite 2 sit alongside it with 160 by 200 cm queens, balconies, and space for a single plus a sofa bed. The Junior Suite on the main deck matches the suites without the balcony. The Deluxe Stateroom on the lower deck takes a queen plus a sofa bed. And the Quad Deluxe Sharing cabin carries four 120 by 200 cm singles, which is what lets solo travellers and friends book a berth rather than a whole room. All six are ensuite with hot water and air conditioning.

    She is a leisure boat rather than a dive platform, and the fit-out reflects it. Starlink covers the vessel, and the lounge carries a smart TV, karaoke, a projector, a Bluetooth speaker, board games, a coffee maker and a fridge. Water activities are a stand-up paddleboard and snorkelling gear, with fishing rods available on request as a paid add-on.

    Departures run twice a week from Labuan Bajo on Monday and Friday, following the standard three-day park loop: Kelor and Manjarite on day one with the flying foxes at Kalong, Padar at sunrise then Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point on day two, and a final snorkel at Kanawa before returning to port.
