Komodo
Komodo National Park is the anchor destination, with a published six day five night itinerary and a dedicated Komodo diving programme. On a six-guest boat the schedule bends around the party rather than a fixed rotation, and the operator markets Padar, Manta Point, Pink Beach, the Rinca and Komodo ranger walks and the Kalong sunset as the standard spine.
Ambon
Ambon is the departure port for the Spice Islands legs, and the diving in the bay is critter work rather than reef. Silt and sponge, shallow, slow. Six guests on a private charter means the pace here is set by whoever is in the water, not by a schedule, which is the right way to dive muck.
Alor
Alor has its own destination and diving programme on the operator site. Cold upwellings, sharp macro life and villages along the strait that see very few boats. It sits on the eastern end of her range from Labuan Bajo.
Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat out of Sorong, with a dedicated diving programme and a five-night minimum against Komodo's four. The longer floor reflects the distances between anchorages rather than a pricing decision.
Banda Sea
The Spice Islands are listed among her five destinations, cruised on the repositioning legs between Komodo and Raja Ampat rather than to a fixed calendar. Historic Banda Neira, the nutmeg plantations and the seamounts in between.
Sumbawa
Sumbawa is named directly on the Komodo departures and sits on the run west. The crater lake at Satonda, the volcanic reefs off Sangeang and the bays of Moyo break up the passage. Having all three cabins above deck pays off on this stretch more than anywhere else, because the crossings are long and the views are the reason to be on deck.
Who This Suits
Suits: a family or two couples who want light and air rather than the biggest boat. All three cabins are above deck with large windows, which is genuinely uncommon: most phinisi this size put half the guests below the waterline behind portholes.
Also suits: celebration charters. The operator explicitly sells birthday, anniversary and engagement voyages, and with eight crew for six guests the ratio supports it.
Less suited to: larger groups, since six is the ceiling, and anyone needing published pricing to compare against. She is quoted on enquiry, and the rate that circulates through international brokers is among the highest per guest in this collection.

About This Vessel
Mischief is a 30-metre phinisi built by the Konjo shipwrights of South Sulawesi under master builder Haji Wahab, and she is the rare Indonesian charter yacht that puts every guest cabin above deck. Three cabins, six guests, and no lower-deck rooms at all, which on a wooden hull means natural light and cross-ventilation in every bedroom rather than portholes below the waterline.
The cabins are named for the waters she works. Komodo Suite sits on the upper deck with a king bed, a separate living area with a sofa, a top lounge directly in front of the room and an ensuite bathroom. Sumba Cabin is on the main deck, king bed, writing desk, and a large ensuite with a shower and separate toilet. Banda Cabin converts between a double and two twins divided by a partition, which is what makes her workable for a family or two couples rather than only for a single party.
Wrap-around decks on both levels connect the outdoor spaces, with forward-facing settees on the upper and main decks. The interiors read closer to a coastal beach house than a traditional varnished phinisi, in white and warm brown tones with natural teak.
She is operated by CV Ocean Indonesia out of Denpasar and cruises the full archipelago: Komodo National Park, Sumbawa, Alor, Raja Ampat and the Spice Islands, with dedicated dive programmes for Komodo, Raja Ampat and Alor. Charters are private only, sold for leisure, diving or tailor-made itineraries including celebrations.

Wi-fi runs on 3G and 4G rather than satellite, so connectivity depends on the cruising area and drops out in the remoter parts of Raja Ampat, Alor and the Banda Sea.
